What actually is meant by open source software?
This might be a question of yours when you think about open source software.
Is every free software an Open Source software?
Answer is simple.Every open source software is free but not every free software is open source.
The major difference between open source software and free software is that open source comes with its
source code and its obviously free but the free software that you might download and start using it may not be open source.
So the main point to be noted out here is that open source besides being free also comes with the source code which is made available for public.
The source code can be viewed, edited or updated by anyone. So thats the power of open source.
